Notice of Public Hearing - Delinquent Pet Registrations

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

There is a public hearing scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, 2025, at six thirty o’clock (6:30) P.M. in the Council Chambers at 1207 8^th Avenue Belle Plaine, Iowa.  Owners of each dog or cat that has not yet paid for their 2026 pet license for pets that were licensed last year may appear at the hearing and show cause why the delinquent fees for each such dog or cat should not be paid.  After the public hearing, the Belle Plaine City Council shall enforce such fees by any legal means permitted under Code or release obligation for payment of fees if sufficient cause is shown for nonpayment.
