CITY ADMINISTRATOR

The City of Belle Plaine, Iowa, (population 2,330) is seeking an effective City Administrator who can make sound decisions in the City's best interest. Belle Plaine is centrally located between Marshalltown, Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and Des Moines, Iowa, between Highway 30 and Interstate 80. The City Administrator will manage approximately 14 employees. The annual operating budget is approximately $8.5 Million. Education
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience
• Three (3) years of responsible City or County government operations experience.
• An equivalent combination of related education/experience may be considered for the position.
Salary and benefits
• $80,000 to $105,000 annually, depending upon qualifications

Car Allowance
• Mileage reimbursement for travel outside the corporate limits is provided at the IRS rate
• Must obtain valid Driver’s License
Residency
• Residency within the corporate limits of Belle Plaine within six months of employment unless an extension is mutually agreed upon.
